XR Marin provides a variety of educational opportunities for students and professionals to expand knowledge and build high demand tech skills in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Immersive Storytelling. Our regional training center is a state of the art XR studio with 20 VR stations and a green screen room with a presentation event space. XR Marin offers a range of classes in content creation in VR, AR, and 360 Video including: ROP Academies, Art Classes, and Industry Workshops.

XR Marin Regional Occupational Program (ROP) Academies

Our ROP Academies are designed to provide students opportunities to learn content creation in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Immersive Storytelling 360 Video. Application is required. Academies are free and high school students are given priority. Students completing our academies will receive high school elective credit from Marin County ROP.

Academies are held at XR Marin located on the Marinovation Learning Center campus, 931 C Street in Novato, CA 94949.

Spring 2019 ROP VR Academy where students learn how to build 3D worlds, tell limmersive stories, and create simulations in Unity.

Art Classes

XR Marin Art Classes

Throughout the year, XR Marin offers a variety of art classes providing introduction to a new medium that is pushing the boundaries of art. Our classes offer introduction to the following creation tools: Tilt Brush, Blocks and Oculus Medium. Last year we offered themed art classes to individuals interested exploring the creative potential of this new and expanding medium.
