Rotary Club of Novato generously hosted an annual Job Shadow Day with Marin County School to Career along with a variety of business leaders throughout Marin County. Professionals invited groups of high school students into their workplaces to learn more about jobs and career paths. XR Marin hosted a diverse group of six students and one Rotary Volunteer, a retired architect. The group learned about opportunities in teaching in tech education form our Lead Instructor Solomon Smith who taught a virtual reality lesson in Unity. Students also learned about careers in VR and Community Outreach for XR Marin. All were amazed to design a structure in virtual reality and had fun being a focus group for outreach to high school students. Later the group joined for a luncheon at the Margaret Todd Senior Center with Marin County School to Career and the Rotary to celebrate and reflect on events of the career explorations of the day!
